What is the 3D HoloDeck?
The 3D HoloDeck is a walk-in three-dimensional environment built from printed roll-up banners or wall panels. Instead of a flat backdrop, it creates a branded space that visitors step into and can be photographed inside. From a defined viewing point the separate printed surfaces combine into one continuous scene.
How is it different from a printed backdrop?
A backdrop is a single flat surface seen from the front. The HoloDeck uses several surfaces calculated together with the same anamorphic method behind 3D FloorGraphics and StairGraphics, so the space has apparent depth and a person standing inside appears to be within the scene rather than in front of a picture.
Is it mobile or a fixed installation?
Both are available. The roll-up version transports, assembles in a short time and dismantles just as quickly, so the environment can travel between events. The wall-panel version is built as a fixed installation, serving as a branded sales area or a decorative backdrop in a retail space.
Where is it typically used?
Events and promotional areas, trade fairs and exhibitions, retail sales floors and shelf environments, and as a backdrop for photo and social-media activations where visitors are encouraged to share the image.
What do you need from us?
The dimensions of the space the HoloDeck has to occupy, the artwork or scene you want to build, and the viewing position it should be calculated for. From those we produce the print-ready data for each banner or panel.
What does a 3D HoloDeck cost?
Cost depends on the number of banners or panels, the size of the space, whether it is a mobile roll-up system or a fixed installation, and the substrate. Design and calculation is quoted separately from print and hardware. Send the space dimensions for a quotation.
